In the recent episodes of "Game of Thrones" season 6, it was all about Jon Snow but not until Brienne of Tarth arrived in Castle Black where she met the fierce wildling, Tormund Giantsbane. What fans are about to expect in the rest of season 6 is a big battle in the North but the producers have never failed to distract the viewers with a little funny love match-up of Tormund and Brienne.
Kristofer Hivju who is the actor of Tormund talked to The Hollywood Reporter about his character linked with Brienne and what to come in the rest of the episodes in season 6 of "Game of Thrones." Hijvu told THR that he asked the showrunners, Dan and David about who is going to be his wildling wife in the show but the two answered him that, "He's probably more of a bachelor kind of guy."
After Hivju read the scripts with Brienne, he excitedly said ""Yes! Finally! There's a love interest!" Hivju believes that his character in the show had a love-lust at first sight with Brienne. According to the actor, Tormund was shown in the previous season as a fierce wildling who has no other goal but to save his people from the white walkers who are on the loose.
After he got his people saved from the white walkers with the help of Jon Snow, he deserves a break. Now that he's achieved half of his goal, it's time for him to have a little fun. The match-up with Brienne seems to be a break for Tormund before he will go back in his battle stance.
In the other side of the story, there is a very large upcoming battle in the North. Hivju revealed that Tormund will have a big involvement in the political aspect of the throne battle where he has to play the game.
In other related news coming from The Watchers on the Wall, a "Game of Thrones" community news page, there were some scene photos posted from the upcoming episode 7 titled, "The Broken Man." It has shown that Blackfish is in control of the whole Riverrun.
Another photo shown is Jon Snow with his company who are visiting one of their prospect small houses in the North to become their ally. Arya who is in Bravoos is seen blending in with the locals with her new clothes and Queen Margaery is back with a converted look after being sealed away by the High Sparrow.
