The 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro 2015 are again the subject of compelling deals that give out discounts of up to $400, somehow suggesting that clearing out of current inventory is underway to makes room for the refresh and eventual release date of the MacBook Pro 2016. 

Apple Insider pointed to what appears as the biggest savings that Apple fans can get when buying the existing MacBook Pro models. Authorized reseller B&H, the report said, started "slashing the price of many current-generation MacBook Pro built-to-order (BTO) configurations, which are the most seldomly discounted configurations."

The MacBook Pro promo deals start at $200 but a 15-inch MBP model with 2.8GHz processing chip, 16GB of RAM and 1TB of disk space sells for only $2699 or $400 less from the original sticker price. Wide array of choices are up for grabs with shoppers picking from the 13-inch and 15-inch configurations that packed with basic to the most high-end specifications.

As in previous sales picked up by Apple Insider, B&H will deliver the goods for as quick as 24 hour and free of charge with the bonus of free sales tax for shipping destinations outside of New York. The fire sale also includes the iMac 4K and iMac 5K that sells respectively for as low as $1299 and $1599.

All price offers, Apple Insider said, are the "lowest prices we've seen all year."

And the killer deals only point the compass to what appears as fast approaching launch of the updated MacBook Pro 2016, which according to Apple-focused analyst Ming-chi Kuo will deliver the most comprehensive build and design revamp in the last four years. The laptops will hit the market in 13-inch and 15-inch editions that will be slimmer and lighter than ever, thus eliminating the need for the MacBook Air. Kuo said that the MBA will be discontinued.

The upcoming MacBook Pros are also tipped to pack the best inside components available to Apple, bannered by the sixth-generation Intel Skylake chip, which promises increased computing power and speed but with more efficient energy use, and the latest SSD and memory chip technology from Samsung that will ensure of superfast processing for the devices.

Powering the MBPs is OS X 10.12 that is rumored up for rebranding as MacOS with fresh killer feature upgrades like Siri for Mac and iPhone Touch ID unlocking. The devices are also expected to natively support the Apple Pencil stylus.

Previously, the MacBook Pro 2016 release date is rumored to happen within or immediately after Apple's June 2016 WWDC but basing on Kuo's latest prediction, the tech giant will first issue a 13-inch Retina MacBook 2016 then the two MBP 2016 models will follow in the next few months or an October rollout date at the earliest.
