If the last installment featured Jason Statham as the newest villain, it is time to let the ball roll for Charlize Theron as she takes on the villain role for the eighth film. On the other hand, Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson are expected to reprise their roles.

Throughout the entire franchise, movie-goers have witnessed how the cast of "Fast and Furious" grew from Vin Diesel and Paul Walker to other actors who played characters that became part of their family. The "Mad Max" star confirmed last April that she will be joining the cast of "Fast and Furious 8."

The confirmation happened after some script delays for her upcoming film, "The Grey Man." Her participation was confirmed even more after a picture of the actress surfaced where she can be seen walking into a room with guns while wearing a Metallica t-shirt and jacket, Variety reported.

Taking on the role of Cipher, Theron revealed in her interview that her character will not be doing a lot of driving scenes in the film compared to the previous cast, E! News reported. She also expressed her uncertainty on whether she would be jumping into driving scenes like what her co-stars were doing.

During her interview, the "Huntsman: Winter War" actress said, "I feel like that gang's got the driving, like, down. Like, they have, like, a really good thing going. I don't know if I need to step in in that department."

Theron has done a lot of villain roles in the past and this particular role in the "Fast and Furious 8" may not be a difficult thing for her after all. She may not be filming driving scenes as of the moment, but fans will soon find out if that stays for good until the entire film is finished shooting.

As for her character, some may be thinking if she would able to take down Dom's family or she would be one of those who eventually joins their side. "Fast and Furious 8" will hit the theaters on April 14, 2017.
