NVIDIA has just released the new 368.39 GeForce Game Ready WHQL drivers for the launch of the GTX 1070 on June 10 so that customers will just have to plug the card and play games.

The GTX 1070 seems to be getting more interested buyers because of its cheap $380 to $450 price range with the performance that would beat the GTX Titan X and the GTX 980. While the differences could be barely noticeable in terms of framerates, the 1070 has more to offer in terms of overclocking headroom due to the lower TDP.

Most early reviews of the Founder's Edition of the card even say that there is only about a 20 percent gap between the card and its big brother the GTX 1080 which costs $599. For 1080p and 1440p gaming, the cheaper card will suffice.

The new Game Ready drivers for the GTX 1070 are also optimized for the Mirror's Edge Catalyst title, KitGuru has learned. They also allow more improvements for The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, Everybody's Gone to the Rapture and Homefront: The Revolution.

Mirror's Edge Catalyst is the sequel to the successful first-person parkour game from several years ago. While the graphics seem to be minimal, the reflections and physics make all the difference in the experience.

GTX 1070 users will be able to play the game at its Ultra settings thanks to the 1920 CUDA cores and the 8GB GDDR5 VRAM memory, Digital Trends reported. Some reviewers were even able to overlock the card up to 2GHz from its base clock speed of 1506MHz.

Many are waiting for the custom AIB cards to show up. Gigabyte, ASUS and EVGA are just some of the manufacturers that have already shown their works.

However, not every card will be available on launch day. Even the custom GTX 1080 cards are still just slowly popping up a week after the May 27 release.

Users will have to wait if they want the custom GTX 1070 cards and not the Founder's Edition. Nevertheless, they can already download the GeForce Game Ready WHQL drivers to be ready once their GPUs arrive to their homes.
