The hype surrounding "The Flash" Season 3 just keeps on getting bigger as one of the more popular story arc may be tackled in the upcoming season.

"The Flash" Season 2 ended with a lot of questions left unanswered as Barry Allen, who was consumed by sadness, travelled back in time to save his mother from the hands of Eobard Thawne/Reverse Flash. Successful, Barry now faces a future so different from what was shown so far.

This scenario hints that "The Flashpoint Paradox" story arc is inbound and in fact, cast member Carlos Valdes hinted that this is indeed a huge possibility, Quirky Byte reported. This storyline focuses on Barry with a happy family but without any superpowers. This also led to the altering of fate of other significant heroes and villains in the story.

Other possibilities for Season 3 are Wally West and Jesse Quick finally realizing their powers as new speedsters. Also, Jay Garrick, played by John Wesley Shipp, is expected to make regular appearances in the upcoming season to help Team Flash. Also, another indication of his participation is that he is a member of the Justice Society, which was introduced in the finale of "DC's Legends of Tomorrow."

In terms of who will antagonize Barry Allen, Gorilla Grodd is expected to make a return and a lot more powerful than he used to be. He was warped in Earth-2 to a place where other gorillas are intellectually and technologically advanced.
