AMD has unveiled new information regarding their Polaris 10 Radeon RX 480 and Polaris 11 RX 470 cards with a sneak peek of the RX 460 which is geared towards e-sports gaming.

The company caught the attention of budget-conscious PC gamers when it unveiled the Radeon RX 480 powered by their new Polaris 10 GPU as it has an unbelievably low price tag of just $200 for the 4GB model. One problem was that no further details were given as to how it could perform well against other cards from their line and from NVIDIA's.

Leaked benchmarks show the card being able to be at least on par with NVIDIA's GTX 980 in 3DMark FireStrike Ultra scores. Fans have agreed that it was already a great score considering the low power draw and cheap price tag it had.

One confusing thing about the card is that the Radeon RX 480 SteamVR score seems to be almost two points lower than the GTX 980 in AMD's own chart, WCCFTech has learned. The Polaris 10 card scored 6.3 points beating the R9 380's 3.6 points but falls short of the 980's eight points.

Gamers could easily dismiss the VR scores considering that not everyone will be gaming using the HTC Vive or the Oculus Rift yet simply because of their expensive price tags. In addition, many are hoping to work up to 1440p gaming using AMD's cheap Polaris 10 card.

AMD has also unveiled the Radeon RX 460 with the Polaris 11 GPU coming in at 2 TFLOPS, Guru3D reported. The company markets the card for those who play e-sports multiplayer titles such as DOTA 2, League of Legends, Counter Strike: Global Offensive and more.

Unfortunately, the release date for the Polaris 11 video cards have not yet been revealed by AMD. The RX 470 also has no specs yet but it is being marketed for "brilliant HD gaming."

AMD may reveal more details about their Polaris GPUs in the following weeks considering that the Radeon RX 480 will be launched on June 29. Pricing and availability for the RX 470 and the RX 460 cards are not disclosed yet.
