Dwyane Wade could join the Western Conference powerhouse San Antonio Spurs in free agency as contract talks with the Miami Heat stall.
Wade could be open to listen outside offers in July, with the three-time NBA champ yet to reach any significant development in his contract situation with the Heat, according to ESPN's Brian Windhorst.
The Heat have a projected max cap space of $41.4 million to pursue free agents this summer, but are expected to use cap flexibility to chase after Kevin Durant. Unless the Heat trade some of the players in their core or Wade takes less money, it is almost guaranteed the Heat stalwart takes his talent somewhere else.
According to Windhorst, Wade's camp has been contacting few teams around the league, including the San Antonio Spurs and Dallas Mavericks.
"Over the last 24, 72 hours, Dwyane's representatives have been calling around the league to several teams. Not to every team, not to 29 teams, but to a few teams and have said to them, 'Hey, Dwyane is going to be available and is going to take offers'," Windhorst told 790 AM as transcribed by Dan Feldman of Pro Basketball Talk.

It is safe to say that Wade considering the Spurs would be for a chance to win another title, with San Antonio not having much cap space to sign Wade to a max contract, which he would likely seek from the Heat and other teams this summer.
With the Spurs' not getting the much-needed contribution at the shooting guard position, Wade could address the need and provide a strong presence in San Antonio's backcourt. Playing for the Spurs could also prolong Wade's career by playing less minutes and letting Kawhie Leonard and LaMarcus Aldridge takeover games.
Meanwhile, joining the Mavs may not give Wade a sure shot for an NBA title, but he could certainly acquire a max deal from Dallas, with Mark Cuban known for overpaying over-the-hill talents.
The Mavs would be among the teams who enters free agency with very flexible salary cap space to land top free agents in the market. Retaining Dirk Nowitzki would probably be the Mavs' priority, but with a projected cap space north of $60 million, there is plenty of room for another star like Wade in Dallas.
It would be hard to imagine Wade wearing a different jersey after spending his 13-year career with the Heat, where he won three NBA championships. But if Wade's contract situation with the Heat continues to be stagnant, there is a chance fans see the All-Star guard playing for another team.
