Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will be launched next year instead of in 2016.
The Redmond company Microsoft was due to release the Surface Pro 5 by the end of this year. However, according to recent reports, the tech company will now release the tablet next year.
Rumors has been doing the rounds that the Redmond giant has delayed its plan to launch the Pro 5 as Kaby Lake processor will not be mass produced till 2017.
According to Intel, the processor is more advanced than its predecessor processor. The tech company is determined to incorporate the Kaby Lake processor for the device. It is said that the new processor will be more efficient at power consumption.
Microsoft Surface Pro 5 will run Windows 10 Redstone 2 operating system. Also, the Windows 10 Redstone 2 operating system is set to be launched in early 2017.
The new operating system will give the upcoming tablet a better user interface and performance boost. It will improve the user experience of the forthcoming Microsoft device.
The rumored features of the Microsoft Surface Pro 5 include an 8 MP front shooter, a 16 MP main camera, 256 GB onboard storage, 32 GB RAM and a 12.3 inch 4k resolution display.
According to a CNET report, the forthcoming device will support USB Type C port that will allow fast charging for the Microsoft Surface Pro 5.
Users will be able to attach an external keyboard to the tablet and convert it into a completely functioning laptop.
Meanwhile, the Redmond giant has begun a new offer on Surface Pro 4 for students. The Verge reported that the company is offering a $300 discount on Xbox One to students who buy the Pro 4 and the gaming console. The offer is valid till August 14.
Microsoft Surface Pro 4 comes with high-end specifications. The base model, which is available for $899, is powered by Intel Core M3 processor.
If new reports are anything to go by, Microsoft will cease the production of Surface 3 by the end of this year. It is not known whether or not the tech company will launch a successor model for it.
