"The Young and the Restless" (Y&R) episode airing in the week of July 4 - July 8 features massive relationship drama involving Phyllis, Billy, Jack, Hilary and Devon. The show will see major development in Phyllis and Billy's relationship and Devon and Hilary's marriage hit a snag. The week on "The Young and the Restless" (Y&R) opens with drama revolving around Sharon and Mariah. According to Soap Central and We Love Soaps, Kevin finds Mariah unconscious after Sharon loses control. When Mariah wakes up, she informs Kevin that Sharon is off her medication and suffering side effects. But Kevin is hard to convince and tries to find out the whole truth. Mariah and Kevin work together to find get Sharon medical help.
In the meantime, the show focuses on Billy and Phyllis' burgeoning romance. The couple spends time at the cabin and make love. They also proclaim their love for each other. While Billy wants to take their relationship to a whole new level, Phyllis worries about Jack. She finds herself caught between the two men and finds it difficult to choose one.
In an unexpected moment, when Billy is away, Ian breaks in the cabin along with Nikki. He takes the two ladies hostage. Soon, he realises that Nikki is a liability and may put him at a disadvantage as too many people will search for her. Thus he decides to get rid of her. Will he let go of her or kill her?
Later, fans will see Nick and Victoria urge Victor to tell the truth and confess that he seeks vengeance from his family. Also, Ian and Victor come face to face once again.
Elsewhere, Summer and Luca turn the heat on. Jack and Hilary spend more time. And in an unexpected moment, Hilary kisses Jack. Also, Hilary realises that her marriage with Devon is over. Devon and Jack share a charged up moment when Devon confronts Jack.
Also, Lily tries to bring Hilary down with the help of Ashley. And Ashley finds out the state of her daughter marriage. There is no information about Adam's trial. Meanwhile, Chelsea seeks Kevin's help to find uncover the mystery woman's identity.
