One of the interesting storyline developments that loyal "Game of Thrones" viewers saw in the HBO series' Season 6 finale was Jon Snow being named the King of the North. Cast member Sophie Turner has shared that her character Sansa Stark felt a little jealousy towards Jon.

The sixth season of the HBO series has featured a stronger Sansa, where Turner's character was able to show a hint of her leadership skills. She even played a critical role in the success of Kit Harington's character Jon's bloody battle with Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon). However, her efforts were not properly recognized and Jon was lauded for the battle's success.

Turner admitted in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter that Sansa did feel jealous of Jon. She explained that even though Harington's character was the one who actively participated in the battle with Ramsay and his army, it was actually Sansa who saved the day including Jon. Unfortunately, her valuable contribution was not highlighted.

The Season 6 finale episode also showed a rendezvous between Sansa and Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish (Aidan Gillen). In the scene, Littlefinger shared his ambition to ascend to the Iron Throne with Sansa beside him as his queen, which was an offer that Sansa declined. However, a meaningful look that passed between the two characters after Jon was recognized as King of the North, spoke volumes on how Littlefinger views Sansa.

Turner commented in the same interview how her character realized in the said moment that Littlefinger may be more loyal and a better ally than she initially thought him to be. She even described Gillen's character as a "more trustworthy" partner. This may serve Sansa well in the upcoming new season. Despite Sansa' realization, Turner stated her character is still wary of Littlefinger.

She also shared the same sentiments during her interview with Variety. Turner mentioned that Sansa has been longing to gain the recognition she deserves in her fight to recover Winterfell. The actress shared that despite her discovery of Littlefinger's loyalty, she commented that Sansa does not have the inclination to gain control of the Iron Throne.
