Several media sources have reported that Bruce Jenner, gold medal winner at the 1976 Summer Olympics, is undergoing a sex change. Now he has allegedly revealed to his family in private that since he was five years old, he has known that he should have been born a female, according to TMZ.
Bruce reportedly has "never been female" when around his ex-wife Kris Jenner and his children.This seems to imply that he has never talked to them about his transgender transition nor worn women's clothing when he was with them.
Media sources previously reported that for many years, Kris was aware of Bruce's transition. She allegedly did not confirm the rumors in order to prevent their two youngest daughters Kendall and Kylie from being ridiculed, according to Yahoo.
While the girls were young, they seemed to suspect that their father was becoming transgender. However, Kris shielded the girls by not revealing this fact to them.
It is not totally clear why Kris kept denying her husband's transition to becoming a woman. One theory is that her denial would encourage Bruce to stop the process.
Unlike Kris, Bruce's mother did not know that he was becoming transgender. However, she has revealed that she still supports and loves him.
Media sources have reported that in Bruce's upcoming TV interview with journalist Diane Sawyer, he will share many secrets about his transgender transition. He might also reveal his new female name.
In addition, Bruce has revealed that he is planning a reality show that will share many secrets about his experience of transitioning from a man to a woman. However, he is still considering a name for the show.
