With Meliodas confirmed alive, it is time for the captain to make his way back as his soul is currently trapped in the purgatory. Also, it looks like Merlin have lots of secrets to be unveiled soon.
Fans over at Marineford believe Meliodas will easily conquer the hurdles that awaits in the purgatory as his bond with Elizabeth remains strong. Also, they discussed what Meliodas told Zaratras that he is afflicted with the curse of immortality. Some believe this is due to him being the heir to the Demon King. However, when Liz died right in his arms, he saw how sad it is to live such kind of life.
Also, it was hinted that Elizabeth is Liz' reincarnation. When Zaratras offered his helping hand, Meliodas stared at him furiously and told him to back off his woman. The biggest question, however, is how Liz was able to reincarnate as an infant. Fans over at Manga Mint believe this is where Merlin takes the stage. It was also hinted in the previous chapter how powerful the female wizard is and it looks like she and Meliodas go a long way back.
Merlin is also revealed to be a huge part in the selection of the members of the Seven Deadly Sins and it is very likely that she is from the Goddess clan. Each member came from a specific race with King originating from the Fairy race, Diane from the Giant race, Ban from the Human race, Gowther originally a puppet, Meliodas from the Demon clan, which leaves her and Escanor as the only members to be part of the said clan.
As a quick refresher of the previous chapter, the flashback continued and it was revealed that Meliodas is right beside Elizabeth since she was an infant. In fact, he became a Holy Knight for the sole purpose of being her bodyguard. Also, it was revealed that Meliodas and Merlin were the co-founders of the Seven Deadly Sins, which purpose is to eradicate the Ten Commandments.
