The Sacramento Kings are still looking for a destination for Rudy Gay and they could address one of their pressing needs.

The Kings lack options at the point guard spot which was previously occupied by Rajon Rondo, who's now with the Chicago Bulls. While the team has faith in Darren Collison, he needs to have a reliable running mate.

This is probably why the Kings have elected to shop Rudy Gay, although there were talks that he had requested it according to Marc Stein of ESPN. The Kings, on their part, also explored Gay's trade value during the deadline. Thus, it seems both sides are on board.

One team that needs talent all around is the Philadelphia 76ers. The team has their best assets in one position aside from the first overall pick in this year's draft, Ben Simmons. Simmons' is a playmaker and he will facilitate the offense, but the team still lacks a go-to, veteran scorer who can create his own shot. That's Rudy Gay.

The Philadelphia 76ers team site The Sixer Sense also endorsed a move for the team to trade for Gay. The team is loaded with young players and their GM Bryan Colangelo wanted to shop for veterans in free agency but did not get their desired haul.

Rudy Gay is no stranger to the Colangelos because of his Team USA experience and Josh Wilson of TSS pointed out that the UConn product is not short on talent. "Gay, who was a member of the All-Rookie first-team in his first season, continues to pump out productive numbers, despite his age (29 years old)," Wilson noted.

Wilson even argued that Gay should be a starter over the incumbent Robert Covington, citing Gay's experience.

The tricky part is that the Sixers do not have too many trade chips aside from Jahlil Okafor and Nerlens Noel, whom they have been shopping even before draft day. Center is not necessarily a position of need for the Sacramento Kings.

A three-way deal with the Phoenix Suns could be the answer. The Suns could take interest in Jahlil Okafor. Even if they have two centers, Alex Len could enter restricted free agency at the end of next season and the team has the intention of dealing Tyson Chandler at the right opportunity. Okafor could provide the insurance for them with his 18 point, 8 rebound averages.

In return, the Suns could send point guard
