2NE1 comeback may not happen anytime soon as it appears that the leader CL is working on a new song or album.

On July 11, CL shared a video in Twitter featuring herself in a recording studio with fellow YG artist Zion T. In the video, she addresses fans in English, first introducing Zion T. and pointing out that they're "in the studio... together."

"I just wanted to say 'hi' and tell you guys that I'll be in Mexico on July 15th," she added. CL was supposed to perform a solo concert in Mexizo entitled "Young Night With CL" on July 15. However, the concert has been cancelled.

In a separate post, she writes, "Mexico City, I love you guys. Due to circumstances outside of our control the show this Friday has been cancelled."

Meanwhile, Zion T. recently signed to The Black Label, a sub-label of YG Entertainment that's led by producer Teddy Park (who has often worked with 2NE1), after his contract ended with Amoeba Culture earlier this year.

It is still unconfirmed, but there is still possibility that CL is just a "featuring" in a new Zion T. song. Moreover, Zion T. is a producer in South Korean reality program "Show Me The Money 5". The song is probably for the show.

In April, YG Entertainment released a statement, "The remaining three members have re-signed, and they're preparing for a new song release for this summer as 2NE1. We are not looking for an additional member to replace Minzy."

Moreover, Dara is leaving South Korea for some time to work in the Philippines where she got her break in the entertainment industry. Reports claimed that she will host a reality TV show. Since it's a TV show, it will most likely run for months. This means the trio is not preparing for any possible comeback in months.
