Users on iOS and Apple TV can now download the new BitTorrent Now music streaming service which performs highly similar to the ever popular Spotify app.

Music streaming has really grown over the years as it provides easier access for users who want to listen without having to pay for every song or album. The music and tech industry even praises it for helping curb music piracy as the number of users who download ripped music files has been significantly reduced with the introduction of the new services.

BitTorrent Now was launched last month on Android and it is now available for iOS and Apple TV users, PC Magazine has learned. The company, which is known for its BitTorrent client that allows p2p downloading, said that the app was a "rabbit hole" for popular songs.

Users who want to quickly listen to a song previously had to search it on YouTube but that did not save the song on their phones. They had to download them illegally through MP3 files which was also cumbersome even though it is free.

Now, the music streaming apps such as BitTorrent Now, Spotify and Apple Music help users listen to their favorite songs for just a small fee every month. It's quick and painless as the app works just like their music players.

BitTorrent Now does not currently have all the popular songs as it is more for those who want to listen to up and coming artists, TechCrunch reported. They do have several popular artists such as David Cross, Major Lazer, The Onion, Flume and more.

The music library is still expected to grow with their number of users. Considering that Spotify is already dominating the market, it could take several more months before BitTorrent Now can even catch up.

Even Apple Music is having problems keeping their number of users because of their expensive monthly fee. The app has even expanded for Android users to further reach more users but it seems to have just a little positive effect.

BitTorrent Now can be downloaded on the Google Play Store for Android smartphones and on iTunes for iOS and Apple TV users. The app is free but some artists can require subscriptions to access their songs.
