Last week, Colossus was said to be included in the movie, which will star Ryan Reynolds and newly revealed cast member Gina Carano, The Hollywood Reporter wrote.

Jeff Sneider of The Wrap wrote on his Twitter post that Ed Skrein will portray the character of "Ridge" while T.J. Miller would be "Simon". Both of these code names have emerged during the movies casting call on Monday.

A few other names mentioned during the casting conference include 80-year-old Shirlie, an African American woman with a great sense of humor, but dry and sarcastic; Lindsay, a 20-year-old lady who is beautiful, tough, and smart, but broken; Keren, a middle-aged woman, who is big, tough, and serious; Kathy, a teenager, who is both sarcastic and funny; and Albert who is a big man, muscular and dangerous, the Comic Book Movie featured.

Cudmore portrayed the Colussus role in "X2: X-Men United" film. He continued to reprise the role in "X-Men: Days of Future Past" and "X-Men: The Last Stand".

With Tim Miller as the director and Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese as the script writers, "Deadpool" will hit theaters on February 12, 2016.
