The fans of ''Hunter X Hunter'' manga series are upset with the news that Yoshihiro Togashi came back from his long hiatus, and after writing 10 chapters, went for a break again. Also, the fans across the globe are waiting for the season 3 of the anime series too.
The manga series is published by Shueisha and is serialized in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine. They have been published in 33 volumes till date and the plot revolves around the twelve year old protagonist Gon Freecss, who was abandoned by his father Gino, a famous hunter. Gino was known for his ability to hunt down rare species of animals and also was appointed to hunt down the men who were on the wrong side of the law. Mangapanda has the volumes uploaded on their site. Chapter 350 named as ''The Princes'' was published on Apr. 15. Togashi wrote till chapter 360 and again there seems to be a hiatus.
Gon enlisted himself for the hunter examination and the story revolves around his expedition and his encounters with the paranormal. After the phenomenal success of the manga series which sold more than 65.8 million copies in Japan alone, and thousands of copies were sold across the globe after being translated to English, the readers started demanding for an anime series, My Anime List reported.
In 1999, Nippon Animation produced a 62-episode anime television series based on the initial volumes of the manga and were aired till 2011. Kazuhiro Furuhashi was the director of the first series which was premiered on Japan's Fuji TV. Later three separate OVAs (original video animations) were released between 2002 and 2004 in Japan. These were produced by Nippon Animation and contained 30 episodes.
Between October 2011 and September 2014, the second season of ''Hunter X Hunter'' was aired on Nippon Television. It was produced by Madhouse and directed by Hiroshi Kōjina. After the Japanese version was aired, in North America, Crunchyroll released the episodes with English subtitles. These episodes were viewed by the fans in United States, Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
Now as per the latest news, Togashi has gone back in hiatus and the publication of chapter 361 is again up in the air. And the last episode which was aired from season 2 was episode 148 on Sep. 24, 2014. Fans want to know when the season 3 will be created because the manga has enough matter for the season 3 to be created.
