"The Bachelorette" Season 12 (2016) came to a close on Aug. 1 after the dramatic finale. JoJo Fletcher finished her journey with an engagement with Jordan Rodgers in a dramatic final rose ceremony. The couple made their first ever public appearance on the follow-up live session "After the Final Rose" special. Meanwhile, the couple has revealed their wedding and future plans.
JoJo Fletcher chose Jordan Rodgers over Robby Hayes. The couple got engaged in May when the finale was filmed and are still together. For fans who don't remember, Rodgers is a 27-year-old former pro quarterback. He also happens to be the first impression rose winner.
Fans will remember that Rodgers emerged as a leading man quite early in the contest. She is a brother of famous Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the Green Bay Packers.
Online publication Reality TV World reveals that the California-based bachelor, now engaged, has graduated in Human and Organisational Development from Vanderbilt University. Currently, Rodgers is a football coach to young children. Also, he loves to make wood furniture.
This is not the first time he faced the camera. He once appeared in a cameo for the movie "Pitch Perfect 2" 6'1" bachelor never actually played in a pro football game.
He has quite an interesting dating history. He is rumoured to have a dating app account, which he denies he ever used it. And before appearing on "The Bachelorette" Season 12 (2016), he was reportedly dating personal trainer Brittany Farrar. Rumours suggest that it wasn't long before the show started filming.
However, Rodgers is now engaged to Dallas-based beauty after she accepted his proposal at the final rose ceremony. According to People, the couple is ready to start their life together.
Even though they haven't yet revealed their wedding details, the couple is thrilled to be together as a couple.
"I was so ready," Rodgers said about the time he proposed Fletcher. "JoJo is the one. I know that, no matter what, we'll get through anything."
"We woke up the day after the proposal and we were so incredibly happy. It was the best decision we ever made," he added.
Meanwhile, Fletcher admitted that her engagement has be "difficult." In the After the final Rose," she admitted the negative rumours made things difficult for the couple. But she assures that the couple has only emerged stronger.
At the same time, they talked about their wedding plans. According to Bustle, the couple is "planning to get married sooner rather than later." As per the website, fans can expect the couple to tie the knot in 2017. They are reportedly discussing dates and possible venues. And Jordan's mother is very much involved with the planning.
