Pokédex has grown bigger with the addition of Alolan monsters in "Pokémon Sun and Moon," especially after the release of new and lengthy videos. The clips as well sport several features and human characters in the Nintendo 3DS games.
"Pokémon Sun and Moon" is set in the Hawaiian-esque islands of Alola, which is a home to both new and old Pokémon, according to Polygon. The upcoming games are reinvented classics since some of the original Pokémon from "Red," "Green," "Blue," and "Yellow" will return with special Alola forms that transform them completely.
Here is all we know about the Alola region Pokémon:
1. Alolan Vulpix
The small fox Pokémon has changed from the fire-type in the Alola Region to an ice-type after liking the islands' snow-covered mountains. The Pokémon is so different from what fans known, particularly now that it cannot stand the heat, lives in the snow always, and it expels icy cold temperatures from its breath, in addition to using the Snow Cloak power to keep cool.
2. Alolan Ninetales
The Vulpix's great evolution as well comes with a change in the Alola Region. Ninetales has changed into an ice/fairy-type. The monster attacks foes using ice crystals from its far, but the beautiful fox is still a calm creature.
3. Alolan Exeggutor
The Alolan Exeggutor looks more bizarre than its original form. The Alolan version is a 35-foot-tall grass/dragon-type with an oddly long neck used to whip other Pokémon into shape.
The monster has an extra head that comes in handy too, making the Alolan Exeggutor to have four heads in total. The fourth head is located at the monster's backside, positioned perfectly to headbut Pokémon that try to creep up behind it.
4. Alolan Sandshrew
The Sandshrew's regional variation is another example of the major effects that the mountainous ecosystems have on Pokémon, according to the same publication. The Alolan Sandshrew is a change from the former ground-type to an ice/steel Pokémon to protect itself from the harsh cold of the region. While the steely outside and Snow Cloak capability helps the monster move across the ice fast, it cannot roll into a ball like Kanto's Sandshrew.
5. Alolan Sandslash
The Pokémon transformed into an ice/steel-type after exposure to the snow covered peaks of the Alola Region. The monster's intimidating spikes are now covered in ice, making them bigger and more horrific. Enemies have something to smile about since this Pokémon has reduced speed because of its heavier load.
