As opposed to other Pokémon, the lovable Eevee has the unique ability to evolve into three different powerful Pokémon. The rest of over 150 original Pokémon can evolve into just a single variant, but Eevee randomly evolves into electricity-type Jolteon, fire-type Flareon, and water-type Vaporeon.

As soon as "Pokémon GO" was released, gamers discovered a trick that is important when it comes to controlling Eevee's evolution so that they can choose among the three resultant monsters. The first thing that players need to do is catch an Eevee. With the Eevee and the necessary things required for its evolution, the Pokémon can be changed into Jolteon, Flareon, or Vaporeon.

Notably, the Eevee evolution cheat discovered by gamers is based on the "Pokémon" anime. The anime had Eevee brothers called Sparky, Pyro, and Rainer.

Forcing Eevee to evolve into one particular evolution requires a player to rename Eevee into one of the brothers. As a result, those interested in Jolteon should rename their Eevee as Sparky. Those looking for Flareon should rename Eevee as Pyro, while those who want to get Vaporeon should rename Eevee as Rainer.

After renaming and saving Eevee, the gamer should then close the game all the way and restart it. This cheat started as a rumor among players, but Niantic Labs confirmed this technique during the recent San Diego Comic-Con, according to Cnet.

The electricity-type Jolteon is believed to be the weakest of the three Eevee evolutions. According to Mobile & Apps, it is advantageous to have a Jolteon because the evolution is strong against water-type Pokémon.

On the other hand, the fire-type Flareon has the slowest move out of the three Eevee evolutions, in addition to being weak against the water-type Pokémon. However, it has the highest base attack among the three Eevee evolutions.

Vaporeon was considered one of the strongest Pokémon in the augmented reality mobile game, "Pokémon GO," before the latest game update. The monster sports the highest endurance among the three Eevee evolutions.
