The chances of suppressing the Ten Commandments just got lesser as Derrierie killed Denzel, who was borrowing the power of Goddess Nerobasta. In the next chapter, more information on the Goddesses may be revealed.
In the previous chapter, Denzel summoned Goddess Divine Lance Corporal Nerobasta, who immediately disposed of the lesser demons but was no match against Derrierie of Purity. Also, the history between the Demon and Goddess clan was revealed. Apparently, the Goddess clan broke their promise by killing all the Demon Clan children as ordered by the higher-ups.
Monspiet revealed that if it was the Four Great Angels that they faced, it would have been a totally different story. Hence, fans over at Manga Sail believe that one of the Four Great Angels is Seven Deadly Sins' Merlin. Although she is currently petrified thanks to Galan's curse, she will break free from the spell sooner than later.
With Merlin's vast knowledge about the history of the Ten Commandments and her involvement in the formation of the Seven Deadly Sins, some speculate that her current appearance is only a disguise. Her power level of 4710 is nothing close to the power she is suppressing inside, and some suggest that she is on par with Escanor in terms of maximum power level. Moreover, her race and origins remain unknown unlike all the members of the team.
Heading into the next chapter, the King of Leones and the surviving Holy Knights are now cornered by Monspiet, Fraudrin and Derrierie. With Escanor gone and the other members of the Seven Deadly Sins unable to match the Commandments powers, fans believe it is time for Meliodas to wake up from his slumber and arrive in the nick of time to save them. Also, Zaratras will be by his side and will show why he is named the strongest Holy Knight.
