Fans are stoked to hear that after 13 years, another "Jeepers Creepers" sequel would finally happen and it would be titled "Cathedral." The recent announcement about the upcoming "Jeepers Creepers 3" got a lot of positive feedback; however, ever since the movie's announcement, not a lot of news about it circled around and fans are dreading that this silence from the production could mean that its headed for another setback that could delay the release of the film.
According to Ecumenical News, since the upcoming sequel would still be directed by Victor Salva, rumors claim that the delays in production are caused by the issues surrounding the director.
Salva is currently faced with his child molestation crimes, and now that "Jeepers Creepers 3" is nearing its production, his past crimes are starting to resurface again. Although the production company behind "Jeepers Creepers" haven't released a statement whether a new director would be doing the film or not, there's still a high chance that Salva would be the one directing it.
It is also reported that the upcoming instalment would focus on the Creepers back story. "Jeepers Creepers 3" would basically reveal all the mystery behind the Creepers' character, such as where did it came from and what does the creeper actually do.
According to Game N Guide, during an interview with Salva, he dished out some specs of details on what the upcoming instalment would be all about. According to the director, the iconic Creeper's truck would be featured in the film, and the Creeper's character would mainly be the focus of the film. He also assured fans that "Jeepers Creepers 3" would surely be scarier than the first instalments.
Salva stated "We are bringing back the Creeper's truck, and will be addressing the big questions about The Creeper: what it is, where it came from and why it does what it does. He added "More exciting though, this will easily be the most frightening rollercoaster -ride -of- a-Jeepers film that has been made to date."
"Jeepers Creepers 3: Cathedral's" release date is yet to be announced. The upcoming sequel might be surrounded by a lot of controversies, but fans are still hoping that the production would still be successful.
