Even if “Descendants of the Sun” actors Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo insist there is no romance between them, fans continue to believe otherwise that the two are just keeping their relationship secret.
The speculation, thanks to constant feed from media who cite reports of the two dating in the US, fans are now convinced the pair would soon get married. And to make the “drama” more realistic in the eyes of followers, a website cited the existence of a wife of Song Joong-ki.
In reality, Inquisitr was referring to Ma Wei, a 20-year-old student at Beijing Film Academy who won the “Song Joong Ki Wife Contest” held on May 31 in Beijing. The contest was made up of two rounds, the “Song Joong Ki analysis” and the talent portion.
Ma Wei won 6,000 yuan as cash prize, called a “dowry” in keeping with the wife theme of the contest. She and the two other contestants who made up the Top 3 also got modeling agency contracts and tickets to the Hallyu actor’s fan meets in China.
With the website admitting that Ma Wei was just a contest wife, it also cited Song Hye Kyo’s sending of a coffee truck to the taping of “Battleship Island” as another indicator of the “brewing” romance between the two “Descendants of the Sun” stars.
So, what’s next? A Song Hye Kyo husband contest or a Song Joong-ki and Song Hye Kyo secret child?
