Kickass Torrents (KAT) might have finally return amidst all of The Pirate Bay shutdown rumors in the form of KatCR mirror as pirates still flock to TPB, YTS, RARBG, 1337X and ExtraTorrents for their daily needs.
After KAT was taken down by authorities in the United States, pirates panicked as a large source of their torrents was gone. Several Kickass Torrents alternatives and mirrors popped up soon after but many of them scam users into inputting their personal and financial information before allowing them to download torrents.
As such, The Pirate Bay has become the king of torrent sites once again. ExtraTorrents and other sites have seen increased traffic over the past few weeks especially as Torrentz took itself down to avoid legal complications.
KAT mirror KATCR has become active once again as it emulates Kickass Torrents with a similar database and format found from before, Gamenguide has learned. Some users are reporting, however, that the site is also asking for registration first before downloading torrents.
TPB and ExtraTorrents are still reliable sites to get weekly Suits Season 6 and Stranger Things torrents. They do not ask for any information or payment in exchange for the torrents that people want to download in the first place.
Users have also reported that they can use the KAT alternative KATCR by just using a magnet link instead of using the download torrent button also found in the earlier Kickass Torrents site, Movie News Guide reported. Magnet links do not require users to type in their information to register for an account and it still downloads the files they need from the KAT mirror.
Those who want to be sure of their downloads should proceed to The Pirate Bay before it is shutdown as rumors are already spreading. ExtraTorrents is also a good Kickass Torrents and Torrentz alternative as the site reportedly partnered with ETRG and ETTV to bring the best TV shows and movie torrents for the pirates.
KAT alternatives and mirrors are still available to this day and KATCR is just one of the many. Kickass Torrents could still be alive but users are better off with The Pirate Bay and ExtraTorrents as TPB is one of the most trusted sites since the beginning of the piracy industry.
