Several speculations suggested that both Thor and Loki traveled to New York in search of their father Odin and return him to Asgard before the cycle of Ragnarok begins. It is rumored that Loki banished Odin to New York after the events of "Thor: The Dark Words" leading to Loki ruling the throne of Asgard disguised as him.

At some point during "Thor: Ragnarok", Loki’s deception has been revealed, allowing Thor to either pry Odin’s location from him, or at least figure out where his farher wound up. It is also possible that, upon discovering a new threat to the Nine Realms to which Loki could not handle alone, he fled, incidentally or accidentally, let his plot out of the bag to Thor, Screenrant reported.

Another theory for Thor and Loki's trip to New York is that they already found Odin, but could not return to Asgard as the Rainbow bridge is somehow closed by the likes of Hela (Emily Blunt). As a result the trio will seek help from the Sorcerer Surpeme himself, Doctor Stephen Strange (Benedict Cumberbatch).

It was during the bts shoots of the film that Thor holds the home address of Stephen Strange at 177A Bleecker St. The "Doctor Strange" film will be shown in theatres on Nov. 4 and will introduce the concept of magic in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Stephen Strange is also rumored to be included in third Avengers film, "Avengers: Infinity War" and "Crimson Peak" star Tom Hiddleston once teased that he wanted Loki to have cameo in "Doctor Strange", HitFix reported.

In other news, its seems that two of Thor's enemies will be appearing in "Thor: Ragnarok" as YouTube channel Emergency Awesome that Asgardian monsters like the Fenris wolf and the Midgard Serpent will appear in the film.

Fenris is a wolf god and one of Loki's many offspring in the Marvel comics. Fenris was responsible for tearing Tyr's left arm and was deemed too dangerous to roam free in Asgard. He was prophesied to eat Odin during the events of Ragnarok, making him a possible plot device of what really happened to the King of Asgard after the events of "The Dark World" film.

Jomungad the Midgard Serpent is one of Thor's deadly enemies within the comics. Like Fenris, he is also a child of Loki and was banished from Asgard. He is trapped within Earth and grew into enormous size. He and Thor have battled many times in every Ragnarok event, and would likely be introduced within the live-action film for the first time.

"Thor: Ragnarok" is scheduled to be release on Nov. 3, 2017.
