Android users should rejoice as the new JBL Playlist now includes a built-in Google Cast feature so that playing music through their smartphones will be made easier.

JBL has lots of excellent products in the audio department but their previous ones lacked connectivity for current gadgets. Now, the company seemed to take a hint and is now launching the JBL Playlist speaker for Google Cast users.

The company showed off the new JBL Playlist in the ongoing IFA 2016 event in Berlin. Frontier Silicon technology made the Google Cast feature possible for the said device which also has a 3.5mm port and Bluetooth 4.2 wireless connectivity.

JBL's Playlist can also stream the audio through a Wi-Fi connection at home for iOS and Android device users, Android Police has learned. Any app that supports the Google Cast feature can be used to instantly stream the music or audio into the speakers.

With the better sound quality, the JBL Playlist could replace a smartphone's speakers or even the built-in ones in monitors. Users can enjoy listening to their music or watch a film with clear dialogues and such.

Another interesting JBL Playlist feature is the Spotify Connect plugin that instantly streams a user's music or podcast from any device that has the app active, Android Headlines reported. Users can stream their music even through the TV app, laptop or just their plain old smartphone without any complicated setup whatsoever.

In terms of the sound quality of the JBL Playlist, interested buyers should note that it can dish out up to 24bit / 96khz of sound. It would be able to hit almost all of the high and low frequencies so music would not sound clogged or too pitchy.

Unfortunately, there is no JBL Playlist release date for the United States and Asia yet. The company said that it will launch the product for EUR 179 in October and has not disclosed any plans of expanding their reach yet.

Customers who will buy the JBL Playlist will include a three-month subscription for Google Play Music. Another bonus is the YouTube Red subscription which will allow users to listen to music on the app even if it is just in the background.
