The five that will make it this week will join VanderWaal, Laura Bretan, Tape Face, Dorenbos and Sal Valentinetti into the finals. Meanwhile, one of "America's Got Talent" 2016 predictions comes from singer-actor and former "American Idol" contestant Adam Lambert who anticipates Valentinetti's success, Just Jared reported. Five of the top 10 contenders were revealed during the semi-finals part 1 on Aug. 31, Wednesday.

Howie Mandale's golden buzzer, young singer-composer VanderWaal was the first to be announced as safe. She contested against school choir Musicality and young comedienne Lori Mae Hernandez. As the crowd cheered for VanderWaal, Mandel gave her the advice to always have humility.

Judge Heidi Klum was so proud of her golden buzzer choice this season, Valentinetti. As the 21-year-old crooner was head-to-head in the announcement as to who will move forward, Klum was on the edge of her seat.

Philadelphia Eagle football player Jon Dorenbos was saved. He contested against knife-throwing duo Deadly Games and magician Blake Vogt. Mandel commented that Dorenbos is a jaw-dropping performer and artist, saying he is a good person who deserves to stay in the competition. Simon Cowell agreed with Mandel's comments.

America saved Tape Face for which he expressed his thanks with a little exploding party popper. Cowell did not expect him to be the public's first pick but was excited for him. Judge Mel B also expressed her enthusiasm for Tape Face.

Judges had to choose between the Edgar Family Band and Laura Bretan who pleaded their votes though one of the acts should go home. The former got Mandel's vote while the other three voted for Laura Bretan.
