In August, the tech company Google announced the roll out of Android 7.0 N to many devices. It is said that Apple's iOS 10 will release at the company's event in a few days.

According to reports, iOS 10 will be improving its 3D touch architecture to allow faster access to core functions without opening the apps physically.

Also, the operating system will add a wake feature that is identical to Android Always on feature, Forbes reported. However, to skip past the lock screen, users will need to press the home button.

For the first time, Cupertino-based company is supporting widgets on iOS 10. The notification drawer will come with improved notifications on the new operating system together with an option to swipe right.

The software company is opening up the widget experience to third-party developers.

Android Nougat, on the other hand, will retain its multitasking crown. 'Quick Switch' allows users to jump back to their earlier used app with a double tap of the 'Recent' button, The Verge reported. People will be able to run two apps at the same time.

It appears that the search giant is implementing its own pressure-sensitive screen mechanism in Android 7.0 N. The newest developer preview contains proof of iOS-like app icon shortcuts.

According to reports, Siri is opening up to third-party app developers with the iOS 10, enabling users to ask Apple's assistant about various topics.

Google appears to be improving its assistant software with the Android 7.0 Nougat. The Allo assistant app can pull out pictures and make reply recommendations for people.

The Cupertino-based company is plugging additional social features into iMessage with the latest operating system. Android 7.0 Nougat as well as iOS 10 are set to introduce new ways to alert owners about notifications.

Meanwhile, Android devices that use Qualcomm's Snapdragon 801 or 800 processor cannot be upgraded to Android 7.0 Nougat. On the other hand, the forthcoming iOS 10 will support iPhone devices going all the way back to the Apple iPhone 5. The iPhone 5 smartphone was launched in 2012.
