"BrainDead" Season 2, episode 1 airdate

Episode 1 of "BrainDead" Season 1 titled "The Insanity Principle: How Extremism in Politics Is Threatening Democracy in the 21st Century" aired on June 13, 2016. CBS has not yet announced any official announcement about Season 2 of "BrainDead." If the show is renewed, it is likely to premiere in June 2017.

"BrainDead" Season 1, episode 12 finale synopsis

"Laurel seeks Luke's help after discovering that a senate bill is not what it appears; Red and Ella square off in an effort to control the bug agenda. Later, Laurel questions whether she's cut out for life in Washington, D.C.," reads the synopsis for the episode titled "Talking Points Toward a Wholistic View of Activism in Government: Can the Top Rebel?"

"BrainDead" Season 1, episode 13 finale synopsis

"In the season finale, Laurel uncovers a way to drive the bugs from peoples' brains and tests it on her father," reads the synopsis for the instalment titled "The End of All We Hold Dear: What Happens When Democracies Fail: A Brief Synopsis."

Meanwhile, creators of "BrainDead" Robert and Michelle King shared about Season 1 while talking to HitFix. They shared that although the show is not meant to be funny but episode 6 and 7 were the funniest.

"I agree, 6 and 7 are the two funniest," Robert said. "I just remember the way America was, torture was never even on the table as a possibility. Any candidate who mentioned that they wanted to torture someone would be seen as disgusting and Middle Ages. Now this country is allowing itself to kind of in euphemism discuss torture as if it's an option," Robert added.
