The number of male celebrities who have been victims of nude photo leaks just expanded after a guitarist was added on Friday. The inclusion of Extreme guitarist Nuno Bettencourt follows a similar nude photo leak of gay singer Troye Sivan last week.

Similar to Sivan who himself took the nude selfie shot, which did not expose his private parts, the naked image of Nuno Bettencourt were also selfies which a hacker posted on the guitarist’s Instagram account.

The Instagram account of the 50-year-old guitarist was temporarily suspended until the leak was fixed, reported Antimuscic.com. However, the nude images were live for hours. Bettencourt still has some photos on his Instagram which shows some skin, but no private parts are exposed.

What really angered him was that the photos posted on his Instagram included those of Bettencourt’s children whose lives he has always kept hidden from the public. The musician posted on Facebook the following statement, “I want to apologize to all of you, my friends, my family, but especially my kids.”

He continued, “I am sorry to those offended by the photos, but I’m more disappointed in the photos of my children being posted. From day one I’ve kept my kids lives private. And I’m sad that that was violated,” quoted Ultimate Classic Rock.

The guitarist was unaware of the hack until a very loud knock on his hotel room door woke Bettencourt up. The band is currently working on a much-anticipated follow-up album to its last album “Saudades de Rock,” released in 2008. So far, Extreme has recorded 17 songs for the new album.

On Oct. 14, the band – which is marking the 25th year of its breakout record “Pornograffitti” – would celebrate the even with a new song-for-song recording of the album.
