"Before I went under my label and officially debuted with Girls' Generation, I went through about 200 auditions. It was 200 auditions for dramas, movies, and commercials," she said.

Despite the challenges, the singer-turned-actress found a silver lining to her past experiences. YoonA added, "There were projects that I did film for. I found strength through so many auditions. I gained confidence."

The "Taxi" interview also featured Ji Chang Wook where he shared how he and YoonA became friends while shooting their new tvN drama " The K2" in Spain.

A separate report from All Kpop disclosed what Ji Chang Wook had to say about his co-star.

"This drama is the first time I've met her. When we were filming in Spain, we talked to each other a lot. There was a reason we couldn't help but get close. We had to film an emotional scene in Spain. If we didn't get friendly, we would've been uncomfortable. The director told us to warm up to each other quickly, so I asked for her number at the airport. We drank coffee at a cafe in front of the hotel and talked. Then we just naturally got friendly," he said.

YoonA also shared that Ji Chang Wook already met her family and her aunts, specifically, liked them together.

The new South Korean TV drama "The K2" is about an ex-soldier referred to as "K2" (Ji Chang Wook), who now works as a bodyguard. He is hired by the wife (Song Yoon Ah) of a winning presidential candidate to look after the secret daughter (YoonA) of the presidential candidate (Jo Sung Ha), who suffers from a panic disorder.

The new tvN series made a successful debut last Sept. 23 and lived up to expectations. It swept TV viewer ratings last weekend based on data from Nielsen Korea.

According to The Jakarta Post, "'The K2' topped weekend viewer ratings with an impressive 3.8 percent on the premiere and 4 percent on the second episode. Although the figures were lower than weekday ratings, it managed to score the highest percentile during its time slot and ranked the most viewed program among women between ages 10 and 50."
