Thousands of loyal EXO fans around Asia have displayed their support for the Kpop idol group's 2016 concert tour titled "EXO Planet #3 - The EXO'rDIUM." Recently, the said South Korean and Chinese boy band jumpstarted the China leg of their latest concert series with a sold-out show in Hangzhou.
The Kpop idol group's Hangzhou concert, held on Sept. 30, Friday, marked the first time EXO held a show in the said Chinese city. Tickets for the boy band's said concert performance were sold out five minutes after ticket sales opened, All Kpop reported.
Avid Chinese fans who attended the Hangzhou concert were treated to an exciting show as their favorite Kpop idol group rocked the stage with several of their hit tracks. EXO performed around 28 songs that included "Monster," "Growl," "Lucky One," "Mama," "Wolf" and more, as indicated in the same report.
Members of the South Korean and Chinese boy band impressed the concert crowd with their powerful dance moves and strong vocals. A special fan event was also held during the said concert where loyal followers waved banners and signs that contained supportive messages for the Kpop idol group.
The Hangzhou show also marked the boy band's fourth city stop in its "EXO Planet #3 - The EXO'rDIUM" Asian concert tour. The Kpop group is set to visit several Japanese cities in the coming weeks such as Hokkaido, Aichi, Tokyo and Osaka. Performance dates for the said Asian cities have been set in mid-October, November and mid-December.
EXO will also hold two concert dates in Taipei on Nov. 26 and Nov 27. Two other performances have also been scheduled in China's Nanjing in December and Hong Kong in February 2017.
In other news, the boy band's track "Lotto" debuted at the number spot of the World Digital Songs chart in early September, according to Billboard. The song served as EXO's second number one track on the said Billboard chart. The Kpop idol group's song "Monster" previously nabbed the first place on the same chart when it was released in the early part the year.
Meanwhile, "Lotto" garnered 8,000 digital downloads in the U.S. during the first week of September. The said track's digital sales marked a 2,000 increase from the band's former hit "Monster" which saw 6,000 downloads during its debut week.
