Samsung is now rumored to be working on 2017 edition of is Galaxy J series smartphones. Earlier this year, the Galaxy J3 (2017) went through the testing at TENNA, a Chinese regulatory body. Now, the Galaxy J7 (2017) has been spotted in the wild.

Samsung's new smartphone bearing serial no. SM-J727V appeared on Zauba, an Indian website that contains information of devices imported to the country. According to the Price Raja, the alleged smartphone is Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017).

The Galaxy J7 (2017) is likely to launch in the first quarter of 2017. It also revealed the price tag of the device will be around Rs 15,000 ($ 224.99). The Zauba listing did not reveal much details of the specs for the upcoming smartphone.

The smartphone will be an upgrade from its previous version of Galaxy J7 (2016). It will come with 5.5-inch screen with full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is rumored to be powered by new Exynos chipset. It will carry 3 GB of RAM.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 will sport 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front facing camera. It is also expected to be packed with 3,000mAh battery, PhoneArena reported.

The previous version of Galaxy J7 (2016) was launched in April 2016. The smartphone comes with 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display  that offers HD resolution of 720 x1280 pixels. It is powered with Exynos 7870 chipset. The device has 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB inbuilt storage.

The Galaxy J7 (2016) is loaded with Android OS, v6.0.1 Marshmallow. It sports  a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera. The smartphone comes with a 3,300 mAh battery and is available in white, black, gold and rose gold color variants.

Samsung also launched Galaxy J7 Prime in September this year. The smartphone comes with 5.5-inch with full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels display. It comes with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. It is powered by Exynos 7870 Octa chipset with Mali-T830MP2 graphics.

The device has 3 GB of RAM and 16 GB internal storage. It feature 13-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front facing camera. The device also include fingerprint sensor and it also features a 3,300 mAh battery.
