The search giant Google has revealed the Pixel XL smartphone. The Google Nexus 6P was released in September last year.
Let's take a look at the specifications of Nexus 6P and Pixel XL.
The Pixel XL is lighter and smaller and the Nexus 6P is thinner. The Pixel XL has a metallic build with a glass panel that houses the fingerprint sensor, the rear camera and flash.
On the front, the smartphone has no physical buttons. However, on the right edge, it has the volume rocker and power button.
The Nexus 6P smartphone sports dual front-facing stereo speakers, a rear-mounted fingerprint reader and an all-metal build. Both the devices have USB Type-C ports.
The Pixel XL sports a 5.5-inch display, while the Nexus 6P features a 5.7-inch screen. The two devices use AMOLED technology and have Gorilla Glass 4 and QHD resolutions (2,560 x 1,440 pixels).
The Google Pixel XL is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and has 4 GB of RAM and 128 GB or 32 GB of native storage, Digital Trends reported. Quick Charge support, USB Type-C and a 3,450 mAh battery are some of the other features.
The Nexus 6P, on the other hand, is powered by a Snapdragon 810 chipset. It comes in 128 GB, 64 GB and 32 GB storage options and has 3 GB of RAM .
The two smartphones have the 3,450 mAh battery capacity. Furthermore, the Nexus 6P is one of the first devices to release with USB Type-C.
The Pixel XL features an 8 MP front camera and a 12.3 MP rear camera. The handset has many camera features such as a Smartburst feature, video image stabilization and optical image stabilization.
The Google Nexus 6P, on the other hand, sports a 12.3 MP rear shooter and an 8 MP front camera, but without optical image stabilization.
Meanwhile, the retailer Best Buy is currently selling the Pixel XL at a $26 discount over Verizon and Google.
If buyers pre-order the smartphone from Best Buy, they will pay $31 per month that amounts to $744 over 24 months. The device at Verizon and Google is $32.08 per month. Furthermore, the retailer is tossing in a free Chromecast and a $100 gift card with purchase.
