OnePlus 4 is shaping up to be one of the best flagships for 2017 especially after the Galaxy Note 7 debacle from Samsung which hurt the company's reputation.
Nevertheless, the competition still drives other companies to push for better devices in the market. Thee OnePlus 4 Android smartphone may be another great contender from OnePlus after their widely successful OnePlus 2 and OnePlus 3 in the past.
OnePlus 4 Specs and Features
There have been no official announcements yet from the company but there are already leaks and speculations regarding what the OnePlus 4 will offer the masses. One of the most anticipated spec is that the OnePlus 4 could sport an AMOLED screen with a QHD resolution which easily brings it to the higher-end spectrum of flagship smartphones, Know Your Mobile has learned.
The AMOLED panel is widely preferred because of its clearer screen without sacrificing the color quality and brightness. It is the screen often used in Samsung's devices even with the recently deceased Galaxy Note 7.
QHD resolution is also the standard for high-end smartphones. The high DPI count resulting from the screen and the high resolution aids in the overall screen quality as individual pixels are then hard to see.
OnePlus could also be launching a new OnePlus 3 Plus variant even before the OnePlus 4 gets released, Gamenguide reported. The claim comes from a Chinese analyst named Pan Jiutang but there have been no confirmation from OnePlus regarding the rumor.
In addition, there are still no proof available regarding both the OnePlus 3 Plus and the OnePlus 4's existence. Both could be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 chipset and could reach up 8GB of RAM which is already overkill for some desktop rigs that are just suited for everyday tasks.
OnePlus could reveal the OnePlus 3 Plus and the OnePlus 4 before the year ends at the earliest. If not, the OnePlus 4 could be revealed in early 2017 while the release date could be set for mid-2017 considering the company's previous launch patterns including the invite-only flagship smartphone that they rolled out in the past.
