J Cole is done touring for a while and could this be a signal of him working on a new album?

The New York based rapper announced during his appearance at Meadows Music Festival recently that it would be his last show in a very long time. "Before I get out of here, listen. This is my last show for a very long time," J Cole announced during his show.

While people speculate what his hiatus is about, many believed that it will pave way for J Cole to have more time in the studio to work on a new album.

The 31-year-old artist last released a record in 2014 entitled "2014 Forest Hills Drive," which he has been promoting for two years now, a report from respected Hip Hop site DJ Booth.

The source revealed how J Cole headlined Meadows Music in place of Kanye West and The Weekend. He replaced Kanye after Yeezy attended to his wife, who was reportedly gagged and held at gunpoint during the time of the event.

It was during that performance where J Cole announced that it will be his last show, and even fans present in the festival asked "new album?" after his announcement.

Cole has been touring since 2013 and became the only rapper in recent history who received a double platinum without a feature in his album.

In relation to his announcement and new album rumors, J Cole's Twitter account seemed to have been hacked recently after he allegedly threw shade at Kim Kardashian, calling the robbery a stunt, according to a report from XXL Mag.

"Kim Kardashian really pulling a publicity stunt smh she pretending she got robbed," his tweet which is now pulled down said.

Another tweet revealed how he reportedly has a new song lined up. There are no reports as to who sparked the hacking incident but all tweets are now deleted.

Although there are no official words yet regarding a new album from J Cole, many fans speculate that the time off the rapper is asking for is for his own time to rest and write new songs for a follow up record. Watch the video below to learn more on J.Cole's potential tour with Drake.
