Battlepacks are in-game boxes that contain items that they can use to customize and enhance their gaming experience. Each one contains one weapon skin. Other packs can sometimes include an additional melee puzzle piece or an XP boost.

The Battlepacks can be earned by simply joining a match. At the end of the match, a certain number of players who have survived through the fight will earn a Battlepack and open it when they get to the menus.

The developers have now focused on just one type of Battlepack. With this type, players can get different kinds of items, and the rarer ones are not limited to a higher value pack.

The Battlepacks will have two modified versions in "Battlefield 1," which are the Enhanced and the Superior Battlepacks. These versions will guarantee players a weapon skin of a specific rarity level. They can get these versions by spending the in-game currency called Scraps.

When players open these Battlepacks, they will always get one weapon skin. It will come in three different rarities, which are Special, Distinguished, and Legendary. They can also get a rare bonus item, which will be an XP boost, or a puzzle piece to a unique melee weapon, which they can assemble and create one.

For the Scraps system, players who do not want a Weapon Skin or Bonus item, they can salvage it for Scraps. These are in-game currency that they can spend on new Battlepacks. The developers advised them to save up on Scraps for an upcoming revision of the Battlepacks that might contain a skin they would like to get.

These accomplishments will be shown as Medals, which can earn them respect and trust in different matches.

Players who have played the different titles of the game franchise will notice some changes in how the awards work this time around. They will have to complete specific unlock criteria, but in this game title they can choose different medals to pursue. There are always five Medals to choose from, and these will be rotated on a weekly basis.

Medals can be earned through three or five stages, which players have to complete. Each of these stages will a bit harder or longer to finish that the previous stage. They will be informed by the tracker when a stage is complete.

There are 34 Medals to earn, which will give players an XP bonus for each one. They can earn a Medal for 100 times if they want, which could grant them more experience points.
