Oppo R9s has been in rumors since quite some time. The smartphone went through TENAA certification in the month of August. It was also certified by China's CCC authority in late September. Both smartphones are going to be unveiled on Oct. 19.
As seen in the leaks, Oppo is expected to come up with two new devices namely Oppo R9s and Oppo R9s Plus.The unannounced devices have appeared on a TV commercial in China, Playful Droid reported. The company has now started sending media invites for the launch event of the upcoming devices. The event is scheduled to be held on Oct. 19 in Shanghai.
Oppo R9s Specifications and Features
The Oppo R9s will come with a 5.5-inch screen that will produce full HD resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. It will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset. It will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage.
The Oppo R9s will come packed with 3,010 mAh battery. The smartphone will support Oppo's VOOC fast charging technology. According to Oppo.it can flash charge of upto 75 percent battery charge in 30 minutes.
The previous leaks have also revealed that the Oppo R9s will sport 16-megapixel front and rear cameras. The R9s will be the first smartphones that will include Sony's new IMX398 camera sensor, GSMArena reported citing information from ITHome.com, a Chinese source.
Oppo R9s Plus Specifications and Features
The specs of Oppo's other model R9S Plus have been also revealed. It will come with a 6-inch full HD resolution screen. The smartphone will be powered by octa-core Snapdragon 652 chipset and 4GB of RAM. It will come with 64GB internal storage and it will include a 4,120mAh battery.
The Oppo 9Rs will not get a global debut as the company will be releasing it only in Asian and European markets. It will be launched to replace Oppo R9 that was released in March this year.
The Oppo R9 has a 5.5-inch full HD resolution display and is powered by MediaTek MT6755 chipset and 4GB of RAM. Other specs include 64 GB inbuilt storage support for microSD card of upto 128 GB, a 13-megapixel rear camera, a 16-megapixel front facing camera and a 2,500 mAh battery.
