Chinese video streaming platform iQiyi would air a new crime drama, “Memory Lost,” beginning Oct. 24. The three 12-episode series is adapted from a popular novel by Chinese writer Ding Mo.
The original thriller detective trilogy features popular characters Bai Jingxi and Han Chen. Bai, a highly intelligent female police officer, works with partner Han to solve a lot of difficult cases with the help of her outstanding deductive reasoning, Global Times reported.
Yu Zheng, the show’s producer, said in a press conference on Thursday he and the whole team behind the show – which once worked an extra 15 hours to record the best sound effects – hope to make “Memory Lost” stand out among the various online drams streaming online for the last six months of 2016.
Actress Yang Rong stars as Bai Jin Xi/Su Mian. As Su Mian, she used to be a top lady member of the Black Shield group who was arrogant, smug, beautiful and provocative five years ago. However, due to a chain of major cases, the criminal psychology specialist was removed from the killer group and forever lost her name, identity and memories. After she lost her memory, she became Bai Jin Xi, according to Tranzgeek.
Her partner, Han Chen, is played by actor Johnny Bai Yu. Han Chen is the deputy director of the Black Shield. He used to be a domineering playboy who became a cold and quiet criminal officer.
Other cast of the "Memory Lost" are Li Geng (Xu Si Bai) who is a killer, Wang Yu (Shi Peng) a fingerprinting expert of the Black Shield, Qi Ji (Xu Nan Bai) a criminal psychology expert and Tian My Chen (Luo Bin) a hacker and killer of young girls.
