This is a good year for "Harry Potter" fans worldwide. The largest collection of memorabilia opened Saturday, and a bibliography filled with J.K. Rowling-and-Harry-Potter secrets has been released.

The record-breaking largest Harry Potter collection certified by the Guinness World Records formally opened Feb. 28. Then in a couple of months, a 544-page bibliography called "JK Rowling: A Bibliography 1997-2013" has been released for the fans and book collectors.

Real estate lawyer Menahem Asher Silva Vargas, 37, received certification from the Guinness Awards for having the largest Harry Potter collection in the world. He has 3,097 Potter collectibles, all of which are on display in Mexico City, at the Mexican Museum of Antique Toys.

Reports say Vargas' got his Guinness World record certification after collecting Harry Potter memorabilia for around 15 years.

"When I realised that my treasures began to take up more than one room, I decided that I should take this seriously," Vargas was quoted as saying in this Telegraph report. The previous record holder had only 807 pieces in their collection-- a strong contrast to Vargas' 3,097 pieces.

Meanwhile, author and Sotheby's director for children's books Philip Errington has completed "JK Rowling: A Bibliography 1997-2013."

"This is the definitive bibliography of the writings of J. K. Rowling," reads the "JK Rowling: A Bibliography 1997-2013" description on bloomsbury.com/uk.

"The aim of the book is to record fact and dispel rumour on the fascinating publishing history of the Harry Potter series," continues the Bloomsbury description.

"There is a lot of incorrect [Harry Potter writing process backstory] information out there and this is a chance to set the record straight with detailed research," Errington was quoted as saying on theguardian.com.
