"Stranger Things" Season 2 production has just started, but Season 3 of the Netflix's original sci-fi series has been already in the plan. It is no longer surprising as the summer phenomenal TV show created a abuzz and collected manifolds of fans right after Season 1.

Director Shawn Levy admitted that he does not want to be caught unprepared, given that "Stranger Things" Season 1 was a success and "Stranger Things" Season 2 is already on the horizon. The director and the creators, the Duffer brothers have in fact talked about how they are going to execute the third run.

"We are not gonna be caught off guard," director Shawn Levy told Collider. "We don't wanna be making stuff up like the day before we have to write it and make it, so we are definitely optimistic and we have started thinking ahead."

As to "Stranger Things" Season 2 release date, Levy did not confirm any date. The shooting of the second chapter began on Nov.7, Monday, so it is going to take time because Season 2 has nine episodes. With the flow of the production, the highly-anticipated TV series starring Winona Ryder and Millie Bobby Brown may take place late summer or fall, the publication added.

When it comes to when Season 2 will pick up, there are speculations that it will commence a year later after Season 1. Levy declined to give a timeline, but he assured that it will not happen the next day, particularly to give an introduction to the new characters.

Last week, it was announced that "Stranger Things" Season 2 cast now includes Sean Astin, Paul Reiser, and Linnea Berthelsen. Astin will play Bob Newby; Reiser as Dr. Owens; and Berthelsen as Roman. They will join the two other newcomers that include Sadie Sink and Dacre Montgomery.

When "Stranger Things" Season 2 returns, there is a big possibility that Eleven will be back, TVLine confirmed. It is reported that there is no definite time how long Brown will appear as Eleven in the episodes, but speculations say that she will again play as a series regular.

At the end of Season 1, Eleven looked like she met her untimely demise when she made a sacrifice when she faced the Demogorgon. Check out "Stranger Things" Season 3 news:
