Even before the release, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" has been very controversial. Now, this game has received negative comment on the gamers as it has a futuristic setting which has been very far with the user's expectations.

Game Rant had learned that the patrons of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" find themselves frustrated with the game since it looks set to introduce more microtransactions. Based on an image posted on reddit, it seems that a listing for CODPoints for "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare" showed up on the North American PlayStation Store before being pulled several hours later. Following the latest "Infinite Warfare" update, the icon for CODPoints can be seen on the game's menu when online play has been inactivated.

The game's publisher Activision and developer Infinity Ward hasn't confirmed that CODPoints will be added to the game, or how it will work. Nonetheless there are some pointers that can be taken from "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3". During Post-launch, "Black Ops 3" added CODPoints microtransactions, which is only available to players who spent real money. The CODPoints could then be spent on new weapons, new taunts, and cosmetic items such as camouflage skins for weapons. The prices started from $2 for 200 points up to $99.99 for 13,000 points.

Meanwhile, Metro stated some of the complaints of the gamers of "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare". One of the common complaints is that the "Modern Warfare Remastered" is not being sold separately. Another is that the game has futuristic setting in a row which does seem weird since Activision has three separate studios it could use with three entirely different games.

The "Infinite Warfare" is also set much further in the future than any "Call Of Duty" predecessors which in a reality where space colonies are now spread out across the solar system. The primary influence for the look and feel of the game is the rebooted "Battlestar Galactica" series, from which it steals liberally. Gamers also thought the story was about colonies rebelling against their home planet the plot is considerably less stimulating than that.
