BIGBANG comeback may not happen anytime soon as its main rapper and eldest member Choi Seunghyun, aka TOP, will start his mandatory military service early next year.

Previous rumors claimed that legendary male group BIGBANG comeback is set this month. However, it seemed not to be the case. According to Korean website, Korea Times, TOP will begin his duty as a conscripted policeman after he was accepted by National Police Agency on Monday. He took the exam on Oct. 25 and his date of enlistment will be revealed in two weeks.

The report added that the post requires at least six months of experience in a related field, a certificate or at least two years in college studying a related field. TOP is considered old to be a conscript. However, he is the first among the five members to enter the military. Other members G-Dragon and Taeyang, both 28-years-old, will reportedly enlist to military next year.

Men in South Korea have to undergo mandatory military service as they are still in war with North Korea since no peace treaty was signed. It was reported that TOP will enlist next year. BIGBANG members said earlier that they intend to enlist at the same time so that they will be in hiatus at the same time and their activities will not be affected.

Meanwhile, another probable reason for BIGBANG's delayed comeback is to promote YG Entertainment's latest girl group BLACKPINK. The female idol group recently held a comeback. This is to ensure that they are situated in the industry and to avoid being overshadowed by their sunbae.

BIGBANG has a concert scheduled next year. However, there is no official statement from YG Entertainment, which is BIGBANG's label. Watch the hilarious interview of BIGBANG in "Happy Together".
