The Undertaker made his first appearance since WrestleMania 32 on Tuesday in the 900th episode of SmackDown Live. He confronted Team SmackDown in the main event that led to rumors of him facing A.J. Styles for the WWE World Championship at the Royal Rumble.
The 51-year-old legend appeared in the main event of SmackDown Live to give a clear message to the members of Team SmackDown. He mentioned that he will punish whoever cost the blue brand the win at Survivor Series on Sunday.
It also appeared that The Undertaker will have a more prominent role moving forward. He recently had hip surgery but it looks like he is going to start a feud immediately after Sunday's big event in Toronto, Canada.
According to Cageside Seats, Team SmackDown is expected to lose to Team Raw at Survivor Series. The Undertaker is reportedly set to feud with the superstar who cost the team the win. The rumors started flying around that it could be against Styles, who might get into an argument with Dean Ambrose.
It should be noted that Styles will defend the WWE World Championship against Ambrose in a TLC Match at the PPV of the same name. This could lead to a big program between Styles and The Undertaker heading into the Royal Rumble.
The Undertaker vs. Styles is a dream match for many hardcore fans and it is something that many were not expecting to see ever. The 2017 Royal Rumble will be held at the Alamodome and the WWE is planning to make it a historic event.
There are also rumors flying around that Styles could be defending the WWE World Championship against The Undertaker in their match. The Deadman will come out as the winner with John Cena expected to win the Rumble Match and challenge him for the title at WrestleMania 33.
On the other hand, Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton may also become responsible for Team SmackDown's demise at Survivor Series. According to The Inquisitr, The Undertaker might team up with his brother Kane to take on The Wyatt Family.
It has been rumored for the past couple of weeks that The Undertaker will face Orton at WrestleMania 33. If The Phenom feuds with The Wyatts entering 2017, it may eventually lead to a match against The Viper.
