Lenovo's subsidiary ZUK is working on its new smartphone, the ZUK Edge. Its leaked specs and images have surfaced. ZUK has also confirmed the release of Android N update for ZUK Z2.
Lenovo ZUK Z2 Android 7.0 Nougat Update
ZUK CEO Chang Chen has revealed an image of Lenovo ZUK Z2 running on Android 7.0 Nougat. Hence, it seems that the Android N will be soon arriving to ZUK Z2 users. The ZUK Edge is expected to release in first quarter of 2017 and it is also expected to get Android N soon after its release.
Lenovo ZUK Edge Specifications, Leaked Images
In the recent past, the alleged ZUK Edge with the serial number Z2151 had appeared on TENAA website and now there are more leaked information of the phone. The rumored specifications of the phone are listed below.
The ZUK Edge will come with a 5.5-inch screen with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device will be flagship device as it is expected to be powered by 2.15GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 chipset with Adreno 530 graphics.
It will feature 4 GB of RAM and arrive with native storage choices of 32 GB and 64 GB. It is said that the device the will not have support for external storage. The smartphone will be preloaded with Android 6.0 Marshmallow modified with ZUI UI.
It appears that the ZUK Edge smartphone will feature 13-megapixel rear camera with 8-megapixel front facing camera. The device will come equipped with 3,000mAh battery, GizChina reported.
Besides the specs, the other features of the Lenovo ZUK Edge are revealed in the leaked images. It shows a physical Home button placed below the display of the phone. The volume and the power keys are located on the right side of the device.The sim tray which has its location on the left side. It weighs 160 grams and its thickness will be 7.68mm, BGR reported.
Lenovo has not disclosed the launch date for the device. It is expected to be release in the next month or in beginning of the next year. Even though it has 'Edge' in its moniker, the leaked images does not suggest that it will be coming with dual-edge curved screen like Galaxy S7 Edge.
According to leaked images, the phone appears in white color and the device appears to have thin bezels on its top, bottom and both the sides.
