Some netizens think that BLACKPINK's Jennie Kim is arrogant for saying that she is above average in all aspects of being an idol - dancing, rapping, and singing.
BLACKPINK appeared at "Weekly Idol" where they showed off their charms and talents. IN the profile writing segment, Jennie Kim was asked if she is better at rapping or in singing to which Jennie answered that she is having a problem deciding about that too.
She said that she thinks that her skills in dancing, rapping, and singing are all above average, but she is not exactly highly-skilled in a particular aspect. In short, Jennie dubbed herself as a "jack of all trades, master of none" kind of person.
Meanwhile, "Weekly Idol" host Jung Hyeongdon commented that her image appeared to be mysterious, cold and chic. Jennie responded that it is her unexpected charm. Some netizens commented that Jennie did a lot of self-praising in the show.
While it is admittedly that Jennie Kim is very talented since her trainee days, it is not proper for an idol to boast about herself. The talents and abilities should speak for themselves. Moreover, BLACKPINK is a rookie group that debuted last August.
Differently from the sweet image she is trying to show to the public, some netizens think that hearsays about Jennie Kim bullying is probably true. However, it was later found out that the rumor was made by a certain Mr. Lee, who is a YG hater. Mr. Lee was arrested and confessed that none of the rumors were true.
BLACKPINK debuted on Aug. 8 with YG's longest trainees Jennie Kim, Kim Jisoo, Lalisa Manoban, and Park Chaeyoung or Rose. The girls are dubbed as the second coming of YG's female group 2NE1, which the new group claimed as a big influence in their songs and style.
