Visual novel "Re: Sharin no Kuni" has been relaunched as a new Kickstarter project by Tokyo Otaku Mode. It will get new tiers and 18+ content.

This visual novel was originally developed by Akabeisoft2 and was published by Frontwing. It was then launched by Tokyo Otaku Mode for the English translation, but the original campaign was met with skepticism from fans. These fans were from the visual novel community and they complained that it was asking for a too high of a goal and had even irrelevant tiers.

According to the new official Kickstarter page of the visual novel, the company decided to start all over again and talk to the fans to produce a better Kickstarter project. This time around it has new tiers and a lower goal of $80,000. It currently has 650 backers and $58,337 pledged of the final goal, which has 28 days to go before the page closes.

According to the official website of the video game, the company explained its 18+ version. They revealed that the adult version of the game will have mosaics in order to leave all the CG in its original form. They did it this way because in the original Kickstarter project, it was originally going to be launched on the consoles.

The game company explained that the Kickstarter backers will get a free 18+ patch when it launches, but it will only be available to certain backers. They clarified that those who have contributed with a reward tier selected or those who have donated $20 or more can get the free patch. For those who will purchase the video game through the campaign, they will receive it for free.

Adult goods are not allowed to be sold on Kickstarter, which is why the game company revealed that they will not be able to sell physical copies of the 18+ version of "Re: Sharin no Kuni" Other countries prohibit importing adult goods, which is another reason for them not to distribute physical copies. Their main aim is to create a localization of the console version of the game, which did not contain any sexual content.

Tokyo Otaku Mode revealed that they will be releasing a standalone 18+ version of the game together with the Steam version and the free 18+ patch. They are still working on the details on how they can distribute this version to their Kickstarter backers.
