Chinese multinational tech firm Huawei unveiled last month their next generation handset under their Mate lineup to be monikered as Huawei Mate 9. The new phablet is expected to be packed with features that can go head to head with top brass brands in the market.

Huawei's website already posted the latest features and specs under the smartphone's hood. Per the website, the newest render of the Mate phone will sport a 5.9-inch multi-touch full HD display with a 1,920 x 1,080-pixel resolution.

The phablet will also sport a 20-megapixel monochrome and 12-megapixel RGB Leica dual camera situated at the handset's rear  portion. In addition, the phone's selfie shooter will have a decent 8-megapixel resolution that is also perfect for facetime chats.

Furthermore, the Mate 9 will be muscled up with an octa-core Kirin 960 chipset that will be backed up by a Mali-G71 coprocessor. The latest iteration of the handset will also be stashed with an ample total of 4 GB of random access memory (RAM) alongside a 64 GB memory space that can be stretched up to 256 GB via microSD.

It was also publicized that it will be preloaded with an Android Nougat operating system  as soon as the phone actualizes. The device will also bear a so-called "smart learning algorithm" that lets the phone maintain its day one performance even over a year of usage.

Similar to its predecessor, the Mate 9 will have an adequate battery pack with  a juice  capacity reaching up to 4,000 mAh. That being said, the phone will have another add-on called a "super charge" where a 20-minute charging up will make the phone go for the rest of the day.

Meanwhile, Know Your Mobile Huawei also devised a Porsche Design variant of the Mate 9 whose specs were almost the same, though the two differ in screen size, the total number of RAM in which the Porsche render was endowed with 6 GB, and the absence of a microSD slot on the phone's premium edition.

As of late, Huawei has remained mum about the handset's release date. However, it is believed that it could be dished out anytime this month.
