"Stranger Things" continues to rack up success as it attains nominations for both the Grammy Awards and the WGA TV Awards. The former will take place on Feb. 12, 2017 and the latter will be held on Feb. 19, 2017.

According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, the show has garnered a nomination for the Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media category for both of its music volumes. The nomination was announced by singer Meghan Trainor, who announced all of the Grammy nominations.

The soundtrack was composed by Kyle Dixon and Michael Stein. The music of the show relies heavily on synthesizers, a trend that was prominent during the 1980s and is a nod to classics from the era such as "The Thing." It should be noted that "Stranger Things" Season 1 takes place in 1983.

"Stranger Things" is also nominated for the Writers Guild of America Awards, the Hollywood Reporter stated. It managed to garner both the nomination for Best Drama Series and the nomination for Best New Series.

In the first category, it is going to face competition against "Game of Thrones," "Westworld," "The Americans" and "Better Call Saul." For the latter category it will be going up against "Westworld," "This is Us," "Atlanta" and "Better Things."

"Stranger Things" has also received several other nominations. The show has been nominated for Best Genre Television Series and actress Winona Ryder has been nominated for Best Actress in a Television Drama Series.

The series has been nominated for Best Drama Series in the Critic's Choice Television Awards. It has also garnered both the Favorite TV Show nomination and Favorite Premium Sci-Fi/Fantasy Show for the People's Choice Awards. Millie Bobby Brown has been nominated in the People's Choice Awards for Favorite Sci-Fi/Fantasy Actress.

The show is set to premiere its second season in 2017 although a specific release date has yet to be announced. Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Caleb McLaughlin and Noah Schnapp are all confirmed to reprise their roles as Eleven, Mike, Dustin, Lucas and Will, respectively.
