Contending clubs TSG 1899 Hoffenheim (6-0-8, 26 points) and Borussia Dortmund (7-3-4, 25 points) are set to face one another in a 2016-2017 Bundesliga season match on Friday, Dec. 16 at the Wirsol Rhein-Neckar-Arena.

Hoffenheim will try to remain as the only undefeated team in the German top flight this season as they face the Borussians this week. They have drawn four of their last five matches to stay unbeaten and are currently in the fourth spot of the league table.
Head coach Julian Nagelsmann's squad is coming off a 0-0 draw with fifth-running team Eintracht Frankfurt on the road at the Commerzbank Arena last Friday, Dec. 9, as per Fox Sports Asia.
Hoffenheim got the better end of the tie as the team had only fired three shots at goal during the whole contest while Frankfurt had 14.
The game was highlighted by superb defense from both sides. However, nine yellow cards and one red card was shown in the match with Frankfurt defender Timothy Chandler sent off in the 82nd minute.
Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund was also held to a 1-1 draw by fellow contending squad Cologne on the road at the RheinEnergieStadion last Saturday, Goal reported.
The hosts scored the first goal of the contest early in the 28th minute with a header from the center of the box by Latvian forward Artjoms Rudnevs from a pass by teammate Jonas Hector following a set piece situation.
It looked like an upset win for the Billy Goats, but Dortmund was able to find the equalizer right at the stroke of full-time with a right-footed shot by striker Marco Reus also from the center of the box with the assist coming from Colombian striker Adrian Ramos.
It was the fifth unbeaten performance for head coach Thomas Tuchel's side in their last six outings to remain in the sixth spot of the league table.
